Playoffs and a Reminder from the President
It’s playoff time and competition ratchets up a notch. This is competitive baseball, however, we must all remember this is a game played by kids not professional ballplayers. Now it is especially important for the proper perspective and appropriate behavior by all of us – parents, coaches, volunteers and players. Coaches, players and umpires all make mistakes. It’s part of the game and expecting 100 percent perfection by anyone is not reality.
The mission of our league is to instill life skills including good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, respect and a sense of teamwork within the context of baseball. Support your coaches, cheer on your players and respect the umpires.
Play hard, play fair and have fun!

End of Season League Tournament Rules
During the regular season our local rules allowed free defensive substitions in order to maximize playing time for all the kids.
Our end of the season double-elimination league tournament will be played under standard PONY baseball rules which include a 9-player batting order and only players in the starting lineup may re-enter the game and must re-enter in the same spot in the batting order. Our only local rule will be minimum required playing time which is at least 3 innings defensively and 1 at bat. Bottom line is that for a team with 12 players, as an example, 6 players will play the whole game and 6 players will play more or less half of the game.
